DiGiCo SD7 Goes to MACH 3
The SD7 is DiGiCo's flagship offering and its stealth engine includes the latest incarnation of FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) technology, known as Super FPGA. Allied with three of the latest generation of SHARC® effects and control processors, the SD7 is endowed with a staggering eight times the overall processing power of the industry standard D5 Live. With the SD7 possessing such powerful hardware, the release of new features in firmware releases is constantly growing.
Among the most popular SD7 systems is the 56EX. This includes the console worksurface with 2 engines plus flight case, local I/O fitted with 12 inputs, 12 outputs and 12 AES I/O. A DiGi-Rack with 56-in, 40-out and 16 AES I/O. 2 x 150mtr. drum of fibre optic cable and a 5mtr. fibre optic connection between engines.
